but she's a black magic woman, she's tryna make a devil outta me.

ooc. 30+. CST. I don't give two flying frijoles about the pronouns you use for me.

activity. I work a full-time job for 12 hour shifts, overnights. I'm free Sunday-Tuesday and every other Saturday.

interactions & plotting. I'm available for RP in-game and through Discord, though I am way less reliable when it comes to Discord.I'm always down for backstory stuff, or future plotting, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't easier for me to just go with the flow of RP when it comes to future stories.I'm easy-going when it comes to themes. I'm not interested in interacting with minors/minor chars (your char's kids don't count; you know what I mean) or people who are ridiculously bigoted/X-phobic, but everything else? For the sake of story, I don't have any hard lines. Just give me a heads up first, maybe.

formatting. In big, group settings , I tend to keep my posts super small as to be kind to the chat scroll. In the less populated settings, I can go for days.Frankly, I'm not picky. Give me something to reply to and I'll (try to) mirror you.

disclaimers. I'm respectful of the people who give respect back. If you're a bully, I'll take you to the playground. I've got low patience and/or tolerance for blending of IC/OOC and causing dramatic shitstorms like we're all in middle school as a result. If I've had "drama" with someone in the past, and you're catching wind of it, I promise I have that person blocked to save my own sanity. Every story's got three sides and frankly I don't give a shit enough to entertain any of them.Be cool with me and I'll be cool with you. Simple as that.**If you've interacted with this char in the past and there are noticeable, significant differences to you, you're more than welcome to reach out to me in some form of DM to address them, but what's done is done and I won't be acknowledging anything that 'used to be'.

Pamina is always watching her surroundings, always listening to the ways that tongues spill secrets around her, assuming she's not a care in the world when it comes to them, but those loose-lipped fellows would be wrong.Pamina is well-trained in the art of getting what she wants, and what she wants is power. 'Lest it effect the single digit number of people she actually hold dear in her cold, dead heart, Pamina will stop at nothing to gain more. A practiced silver tongue has bent the ear of kings and queens, so practiced one might start to question how sincere she is in simple conversation....Or perhaps, you have something that she wants.

headcanon one. For as prim, proper, and scary as she tries to come across, deep at the pit of her soul, Pamina is a huge nerd. Her happy place is curled up with a dozen or two books by a fireplace. She even has a giant pair of reading glasses.
headcanon two. Pamina is always hot to the touch. Always. More than once, she's been used as a space heater in cold climates. She never said she was thrilled about it.
headcanon three. She smells of raspberries and vanilla. Always.
headcanon four. How prim and proper and done up she is depends on where she is. If she's visiting some alliance faction, chances are her hair is down and she's dressed down, whereas if it is horde, it is the opposite. Despite declaring herself neutral, its almost as if she has something to prove to her former homeland.
headcanon five. She's mastered the art of hiding her fangs. If you catch sight of them it's either intentional and for intimidation, or she's completely comfortable with you and has let her guard down.
headcanon six.Despite how she dresses and how she decorates her home, her favorite colors are actually silver and blue.
headcanon seven. If given the choice, she would eat fruity ice cream every day until the day she dies. You know. Again.

origin.

Following identical twin boys Ranalin nd Baelios, Nostariel was born the eldest daughter to Sonaj Bloodsinger and Xrystiana D'athion Bloodsinger. Six more children followed her: Kelaris, Iriseli, Melidias, Aelenathos, Aelamuelina, and Aurora. Sonaj was rarely around, as he was a high-ranking Blood Knight, and when he was, his attention was focused solely on Ranalin and Baelios. This left Xrystiana solely to her own devices to mold and shape her children as she saw fit without Sonaj's interference. And mold them she did.Xrystiana hailed from a high noble House - the D'athions - and she had no intentions of letting her marriage to Sonaj sully the power that came with her birthright. As the bloodline was already fraught with capable spellcasters, Xrystiana made sure that her children were just as successful. They all had the best instructors for their magical prowess and the best tutors for their education. Outside of the times that they were learning, she rarely let them out of her sight.Which, really, was a problem for Nostariel.Like her predecessors, Nostariel was powerful. There was no denying it; you could feel her magic roiling around her just being in her presence. But while she was blessed with such a gift, what she was not bestowed was control. More often than not, her spells went awry, sometimes with disastrous results (such as burning down an entire wing of the D'athion estate...with the help still in it). Nostariel was frequently punished for her mistakes, usually confined to her quarters and made to toil long hours into the night to master her craft, but it only built resentment, not skill. In addition to her educational and magical practices, Xrystiana primed her for the political as well. Logically, either Ranalin or Baelios should have been named as the heir or heirs of House D'athion, but historically even if a man was named heir on paper, a woman ran it. Sonaj had inherited House D'athion through marriage, but Xrystiana ran the show and everyone knew it. She wanted Nostariel to do the same when the time came. And Nostariel hated it.Her rebellion started when she was quite young. Frequently would she be brought home to her mouther after being picked up for petty crimes in the city: stealing from vendors or being a nuisance to its citizens. Most of her tomfoolery was carried out in the company of Riaevis Shadeleaf, her cousin whose family had been exiled by House D'athion, and his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Analeil Iethil. One might have thought that the Scourge invasion would have tempered the Bloodsinger girl, but it only served to fuel her rage. Her younger sister, Melidias, was brutally maimed and rendered mute for the rest of her life. Her father was slain. The title of lord of House D'athion fell to Ranalin, who quickly entered an arranged marriage to Syranis Cor'thir, a noble heiress Xrystiana had long been eyeing for him. In the invasion, House Cor'thir fell, leaving everything to Syranis. Her marriage to Ranalin secured all of House Cor'thir's remaining assets for House D'athion. Nostariel was not fond of Syranis, if only because she felt as though she had taken her older brother from her. When Ranalin was away on House business, Baelios was left in charge. He and Xrystiana would see to it that Syranis was locked and hidden away within her chambers whenever Ranalin was away, out of sight and mind of the rest of the family.Nostariel would have found it funny, if she hadn't been able to relate. One night during a masquerade ball that House D'athion was hosting, Nostariel was approached by Riaevis and Analeil. Ana claimed that she had someone eager to meet the spellslinger. She introduced her to a man by the name of Ceithil Sathiern. He claimed to be a very successful trader with a penchant for the arcane arts. He and Nostariel talked long into the night until he invited her, Ana, and Riaevis back to the headquarters for his business.Nostariel expected to be taken to the city, but was instead led deep underground through a tunnel system. Eventually, the tunnels gave way to a singular larger, open room with a closed door in the back of it. There was a bar counter on one side of the room, but no bartender or drinks visible. Ceithil still served them with the best drinks and drugs that gold could buy, though the high he induced in Nostariel was magical. They stayed in what she would later come to know as the Lair until well after sun up, partaking in his vices. She awoke on a hillside outside of her home. This happened multiple times, with the same outcome every time.Xrystiana inevitably found out and was outraged. She tried to have Baelios lock her away much like they did to Syranis, but he was unsuccessful. Ceithil appeared and whisked Nostariel back away to the Lair.It was then that the learned of the Lotus - a faction-neutral criminal organization led by Ceithil. They didn't specialize in one particular crime; Ceithil had his fingers dipped in many pools, from petty theft to murder, but overall the goal was gold and power. He revealed that Riaevis and Analeil had been working for the Lotus for years. He introduced her to several other prominent agents of his - Reli Zeddicus and Aiden Ras'vanae among them - and told her that he wanted her to work for the Lotus as well. He promised to train her and help her gain more (magical) power, as well as promising her riches beyond her wildest dreams. The only thing he wanted in return was a little taste: to siphon her magic as he pleased, given she was like a battery for it. Nostariel agreed. She learned quickly that they grass was not always greener on the other side. For every lesson there was a cost. Siphoning her mana became his favorite pastime. Every transgression against him or refusal to perform wasn't met with a scolding or being locked away in her room like her mother and brother would do back home. They had real consequences. Sometimes she was beaten, or left in a cell without food and water for days at a time. Others were more severe, like letting her hang from the ceiling from hooks attached beneath her skin. Nostariel took her lessons - and her punishments - in stride. She became one of Ceithil's most prominent and successful agents alongside Analeil and Reli. She made other friends within the Lotus, with the likes of people like a man named Kirinth, Rosalynd du Coudray, and Velarianna Dawnseeker, who was more client than agent. One agent in particular, Atnaerian Valewind, she entered into a brief romantic relationship with, of which Ceithil did not approve. Shortly after a contract that involved killing Velarianna's father, Atna disappeared without a trace. It didn't matter. Ceithil still sent an agent to make an attempt on her life. Nostariel was injected with a paralytic and left for dead with her throat slit in the middle of the woods.Fortune seemed to favor the elf. She was stumbled upon by a group of mercenaries spearheaded by an older elf named Eledhwen. They took her with them to Grizzly Hills and worked tirelessly to heal her. When her condition was no longer critical, Eledhwen took it upon himself to help with her physically rehabilitation. It was nearly a year before she left their company and returned to the city and House D'athion. While her mother did not exactly welcome her with open arms, she did welcome the heiress back under the direct orders that she would take her rightful seat at the political table. In her absence, Ranalin had disappeared at the Molten Front. Baelios was overseeing security of the house and managing more paperwork than a person should see in a lifetime. Xrystiana wanted her to begin training to take over then and there. Nostariel agreed and took a seat on the Magistry as an act of good fatih. While there, she met a Blood Knight by the name of Sin'dregan Bloodmantle. Sin'dregan was working to restore the former glory to his house's name, and Nostariel became enwrapped in his plans. The two entered into a romantic relationship and even eventually became engaged. Things went well between them for some time and Xrystiana was equally thrilled that Nostariel was finally 'embracing her roots', but that seemed a bit much for the sorceress. At most, everything she did felt like an act and as if she wasn't being true to herself. The pressure to become the perfect noblewoman in her mother's image was great, too great, and she cracked beneath it. She broke things off with Sin'dregan, claiming to not be fit to carry the Bloodmantle name. In efforts to avoid Xrystiana's wrath, she fled back to the Lotus and Ceithil, begging for his forgiveness.Nostariel spent some time living amongst the Lotus and its tunnels and working diligently with its agents. Eventually, she purchased an apartment in Auger's Row within the confines of Silvermoon City, living there while continuing to work for Ceithil. The apartment saw many people come and go, from the likes of Riaevis and Velarianna staying there for some time to other people she met in her misadventures. She started going by her middle name only, Pamina. She also started to lend her skills to a mercenary company known as the Ravenwood Coalition, spearheaded by Bronvys Steeldawn and his wife, Anderleigh. While working with them and retaining her seat on the Magistry (purely as something to do), her activity within the Lotus' ranks decreased significantly. Moreso, it became nearly nonexistent when she met a man by the name of Ithil Shadecross. Ithil, more infamously known as Nikklaus, was a carnie for the Zingara Caravan at the time, and was precisely the kind of man that her mother wanted no where near her daughters or the D'athion name. Additionally, he was someone that Ceithil saw as a useless distraction to Pamina. Despite this, as well as numerous other complaints about him as a whole from various other sources within and outside of Ravenwood alike, Pamina carried on with him and entered into a romantic relationship with him.Ceithil took it as an act of defiance, one that absolutely could not be ignored. Between that and her disinterest in serving the Lotus, he was angry, and such transgressions never went unpunished. Ceithil launched several attacks against the spellslinger, though never lethal, often sending Analeil to injure her as a message. Likewise, her mother frequently sent Baelios to her home to send her messages in similar manners. Feeling both betrayed by Ceithil and abandoned by most of her family, Pamina pushed herself closer to Nikklaus, who was not much better on her psyche. Often he was drug-addled and the amount of women whose beds he slipped in and out of that were not her was vast. In spite of such behaviors, she endured for years and eventually married him. She bore him two children, twins, that they named Lydia and Lynara. She tried (and failed) to reconcile with her mother, but the only familial success she could claim were her sisters Iriseli, Melidias, and Aela. Melidias was practically a live-in babysitting for the twins and Iriseli ended up marrying Ceithil, bridging the distance between him and Pamina, though their relationship remained strained. Aelen was his mother's son, too caught up in the perks of his family name to care for much else. Baelios was still Xrystiana's soldier, Ranalin still missing, and Kelaris was distant at best. While her life carried on like that for some time, it seemed like all at once things started to unravel at the seams. She left the Ravenwood Coalition for undisclosed reasons to take part in another short-lived mercenary group. When it failed, she refocused her attention on the Lotus. It was easier than anticipated, but only because Pamina cut ties with Nikklaus after he left her for a pirate woman. The final nail in the coffin was finding her apartment bombed by the woman in question. While devastated, Pamina moved her children to Pandaria by the sea and threw herself into her work and into raising the twins, opting not to speak to anyone beyond Melidias about the state of her head or her heart. Not one to turn what he considered an opportunity down, Ceithil dispatched Aiden to her to keep a tab on the D'athion heiress, both for her safety and as insurance she would never betray him again. But what he intended as a threat turned old, distant friends inseparable. Through Aiden, Pamina learned complete control over her volatile magic. He helped her train Kaelium, who showed arcane abilities from an early age. He shifted her opinion on her inevitable inheritance of House D'athion, causing her to see it as a boon rather than a hindrance. Through him she became more poised, regal in fact. And with her newfound control over her powers, she decided that she wanted more.Aiden and Pamina fell in love and were wed. The feelings that she harbored for him were incomparable to those she had held for her ex-husband, less of a hopeless devotion and more something that empowered her. He won her mother over easily, but Pamina had suspicions that Xrystiana's interest in him had less to do with her eldest daughter's well-being and more to do with the immense powers that Aiden harbored himself and what it could mean for her house. Her fears were confirmed when she bore Aiden a daughter, Adalynn. The little girl's innate magical prowess was apparent nearly immediately, as she had several magical mishaps not unlike Pamina's own when she was a child. Pamina and Aiden were both quick to install safeguards against such accidents and both worked with her to ensure she had control over her powers once she was old enough to understand. She was much quicker to master her craft than her mother ever was, and Xrystiana was not shy about making it known that she wanted Adalynn's power for her own. Pamina knew she had to act fast, to take down her mother before she turned her husband and her daughter into her own, personal mana batteries, not unlike the way Ceithil had done to her so many times before.Pamina and Aiden devised a plan to take Xrystiana out of power permanently, but to do so, they needed the assistance of the Lotus. While the two of them were powerful on their own, House D'athion were many, and most were fiercely loyal to the lady of the house. Without their own show of force, they would never be able to take the house for themselves without being slaughtered. Ceithil was reluctant to lend his aid at first, but when Pamina revealed she had pertinent information that he never wanted to be revealed to the public -- the identity of the true father of her three youngest siblings -- he agreed to offer the aid of his agents.House D'athion hosted a feast, celebrating Pamina agreeing to finally fully join her family and submit her husband and daughter to the name as well. First, second, and third cousins, politicians, Lotus agents, and other powerful players were all in attendance, but it was of course a ruse. It was after the main course was served that the veil was dropped. Upon mentioning how useful she would find Aiden and Adalynn, Xrystiana was informed that she had no choice but to step down and hand her titles over to her daughter, a notion that the matron found laughable. When she realized that Pamina was serious, she began a tirade about how terrible and useless her daughter was, and how she would never amount to anything. She revealed that Pamina was never meant to take over, but to be a source from which Xrystiana could draw from and live off of forever, the same as Aiden and Adalynn. She punctuated the revelation with a threat toward Pamina and Adalynn, but the moment that she raised a hand to cast a spell toward her eldest daughter, Aiden stepped from the shadows behind her and slit her throat. Aelen, outraged, leapt from the table to attack Aiden, but lit him aflame and let him burn to death before he could do any real damage. Pamina dumped her mother's body unceremoniously to the floor and took her seat in her blood-soaked chair, demanding everyone continue their meal while the body of her youngest brother smoldered on the dinner table. Any threats from other members of the house toward Aiden or Pamina were dealt with by the Lotus agents in attendance.

Immediately, changes were made. House D'athion was declared House Ras'vanae, with Aiden holding just as much power as a lord as Pamina held herself. A raven was added to the house symbol, indicating the merging of D'athion and Ras'vanae. Anyone still holding fast to the D'athion name was ordered to change it to Ras'vanae and swear their allegiance. To refuse would mean exile from the house and giving up everything attached to it: power, money, land, and protection. Lastly, House Ras'vanae was declared faction neutral. After all, why limit their sources of power purely on a red versus blue value? The Ras'vanae couple and their children moved into D'athion estate - now known as Ravensfall Manor. She released Syranis, who ran to the arms of a pirate captain by the name of Cerothyn Zeddicus. The Shadecross twins adopted the Ras'vanae name, just as everyone else in their bloodline had done with the D'athion name. They worked with the reformed D'athion converts and agents of the Lotus alike, garnering stature and coin for their name. Aiden continued to work with Kaelium and Adalynn on their craft in his downtime, but also worked with both Lydia and Pamina on the more physical aspects of combat. It wasn't long before Pamina was carrying a staff with her everywhere that she went, if not a knife, purely as a martial weapon. Often, she and Lydia would train together in the yard when Aiden was not available. As fate would have it, the promise of further power came knocking at her door. The opportunity to harness and wield the power of the void presented itself, and it was a call that Pamina, nor Ceithil, could ignore. Preparations were made and the spellslinger set out to embrace the void in its entirety. But such raw power coursing through her was simply too much. It wreaked havoc on her body, destroying her from the inside out. Pamina was delivered to the Lair, where Ceithil and Aiden began to argue, but she couldn't make out their words. As she lay there dying, Ceithil's personal, hired san'layn descended upon her. Her final thoughts as their fangs sank into her skin and her world went black was that someone, even if not her mother, had finally gotten what they truly wanted. Her final act of service would be a personal power supply for someone else.

present.

She awoke confused and ravenous. After all, she was meant to be dead, wasn't she? A quick look in the mirror showed that the vibrant fel green of her eyes had changed to crimson, and the golden tan she usually sported was now pallid. At first, she was terrified. Then, she realized what had happened. Upon speaking with them, Aiden and Ceithil convinced her that this was a gift. While it would take some adjusting to, and a new kind of control to master, she'd not lost any power. If anything, she had gained it.They were right, of course, and she was more than willing. It was again with Aiden's help and patience that she learned to control her hunger. She also became a keen hunter, though not for animals or sport, which helped tremendously with the role she played within the Lotus.
